Update: 5/16/07

It's fiiiiinally happening! The edits we have been speaking of the last couple of months, the revamping, the updates... are all happening NOW.

The work has been divided up between the admins and our goal is to have the entire gallery finished with updates by June 26!

Here's a sample of an updated/edited deviation.

Click on the thumbnail to view the author's comment section.

As you can see, the deviation is linked back to the artist's personal stock account. All of the stock submitted for display at CS in the future will have the same information. If you do not want your stock pieces to be linked back to your own personal/regular art account, please make a personal STOCK account that we can link back to as well as note to tell us of your newly made account.

One last thing. I know I've said it a million times but I'm saying it again. These updates mean that you have the full rights to your stock. All comments, downloads and favorites will be on your account and not at CS. (Those who favorite stock at CS on edited work will be asked to favorite your account instead.) This also means you will need to make a list of rules and terms of use as you also have full responsibility for your stock.

Here's an example of my terms of use/rules(click on thumbnail below), from my personal stock account. Feel free to use the same rules as me, or make your own.


After June 26th, the rules on the front journal page will be erased as every stock artist will be responsible for their own set of rules.

April News:

Update: 4/24/07

God bless you all! Hope you are all doing well.

I would like to ask you all to make a separate, personal stock account that all your deviations, here, can be linked to with information about whether or not you will allow your stock to be used for commercial reasons, whether you will allow prints to be made with the use of your stock and any other rules you wish to have.

If you do not do this then we will simply link back to your own personal site where you will need to have that kind of information available there.

Feedback would be wonderful though we won't be changing the direction we are going which is to put the "rights", in regards to your stock pieces, back into your hands. The forums have been up for some time to talk about this issue.

You have until May 7th to create your new stock account if you so desire, otherwise your personal account will be linked back to as stated previously.

At this time (May 7th) we will begin editing all deviations in our gallery with notes in the "author's comments" section stating that any and all downloads, favs, etc... need to be made on YOUR account (personal or stock). We may disable comments altogether, that decision has not yet been made final.

Hey all...

I've been forced to take down one piece of stock due to it's misuse among those using it. It seems there was a misunderstanding of the rules. Please note that the rules have also been updated. If you use our stock, make sure that it's either completely neutral in content or that it is faith-based. That means our stock may not be used in pieces featuring (including but not limited to) demons, witches and disturbing pieces of art. If you really want to do that kind of thing, please use someone else's stock. Thank you!
